Resistance to the mandatory relocation is a matter of sovereignty for Hungary, politicians explained at the Tusványos summer university on Friday.
Immigration is the first question since WW2 which can determine Europe's future for the next 100 years, Hungarian state secretary Bence Tuzson said at the 27th Bálványos Summer Free University and Student Camp in Baile Tusnad (Tusnádfürdő), Transylvania. He added that the Hungarian referendum against the mandatory refugee quota, as a political tool, is able to stop the decision makers in Brussels.
At a different panel talk, Lajos Kósa, parliamentary group leader of Fidesz said that it's one of the most important questions of sovereignty whether Hungary can decide who can be its citizen. Hungarians say yes to Europe but no to the forced relocation, head of the parliament's foreign committee, Zsolt Németh said about the joint statement of ethnic Hungarian parties.
