A mobile weather station will be installed next to the Citadel on the Hungarian National Holiday, 20 August, in order to follow weather forecasts, said officials.
There will be programs all around the city during the whole day but the biggest crowd, about 1 million people, is expected for the fireworks starting at 9 PM.
This year, rockets will also be launched from the top of the Gellert Hill, from the Chain Bridge the banks of the Danube and, for the first time, from the Elisabeth Bridge.
A complex security plan has been created, authorities are prepared for extreme weather conditions and terrorist attack. Weather data will be updated by meteorological agency every half an hour.
