President of the Republic Janos Ader appointed the ministers of Viktor Orban’s fourth Cabinet on Friday in Budapest, meaning the new Cabinet has now been officially formed, Kormany.hu reports.
"While we serve the nation, our place is in Europe," Prime Minister Viktor Orban said in his speech, adding that European economy's centre of gravity was "gradually shifting to the east", MTI reports. "Back in 1990, Europe was our future, but today we are Europe's future," the prime minister said. Orban stressed that Europe will continue to be threatened by mass migration "for many years to come". He called for firm protection of the bloc's borders and for security risks facing the continent to be calmly managed.
The members of the 4th Orban government are:
Viktor Orban - prime minister
Zsolt Semjen – deputy prime minister and minister without portfolio in charge of Hungarian communities abroad, church affairs and national minorities
Sandor Pinter – interior minister, deputy prime minister
Mihaly Varga – finance minister, deputy prime minister
Gergely Gulyas – minister heading the Prime Minister’s Office
Laszlo Trocsanyi – justice minister
Antal Rogan – head of the Cabinet Office.
Peter Szijjarto – minister of foreign affairs and trade ministry
Janos Suli – minister without portfolio in charge of the upgrade of the Paks nuclear power plant
Tibor Benko – defence minister
Andrea Bartfai-Mager – minister without portfolio in charge of national assets.
Laszlo Palkovics – minister of innovation and technology
Istvan Nagy – minister of agriculture and rural development
Miklos Kasler – minister of human resources
