Among other topics, Minister János Lázár discussed the quotareferendum, the Olympics and also the earthquake in Italy.
The referendum about the mandatory refugee quota has historic importance, and hopefully the voters will make a definite decision which strengthens the government in its political struggle with the European Commission, said the Minister Heading the Prime Minister's Office, János Lázár at his regular press conference on Thursday. Regarding the meeting of V4 prime ministers and the German chancellor tomorrow in Warsaw, Mr Lázár called the V4 our most successful foreign policy undertaking.
Regarding the devastating earthquake in Italy, he said that Hungary is prepared to send humanitarian aid.
Hungary's performance this year and s in the past makes the country suited and deserving of hosting the Olympic Games in Budapest in 2024, Mr Lázár emphasised.
