Hungarian taxi drivers demonstrate against Uber again, taking many streets of Budapest, including the main route to the airport. The city is stalled due to the traffic chaos.
The demonstration started at 2 pm and will continue until the evening. Taxis drove from Heroes Square to the Liszt Ferenc International Airport, so plenty more time is needed for people flying today to travel to the airport than the usual time during even traffic hours.
It's been the umpteenth protest against drive-sharing services, mainly Uber, as taxi drivers say the Hungarian government isn't effective enough to make Uber drivers keep the tax rules and other law requirements. They promise to continue to take the streets every Tuesday until the government ban Uber.
