The award-winning Sziget Festival takes the lead in recycling, organizers decided this year to put an important accent on environmental protection, announced the official presser Wednesday.
In the festival's area, there will be three Recycling Centers collecting ALU/PET and electronic wastes and batteries. Plastic products, such as bags or plates, will be replaced by recycled paper items.
A total of 500 traditional bins and 100 selective bins will be put all around the island, as well as on places reserved only for staff, too. Festivalgoers could throw their cigarette butts into 100 containers.
Organizers ask participants to collect no more used tents, mattresses and blankets for the refugees arriving in Europe.
