Twenty-five Slovak police officers help patrolling the Hungarian-Serbian border from Tuesday.
Hungary and Slovakia share the same view and act together in response to illegal immigration, State Secretary Károly Kontrát said when greeting the twenty-five police officers sent by Slovakia to help patrol the border with Serbia on Monday. The officers will work in Hungary from Tuesday under the arrangement of the V4 border police cooperation scheme. According to Mr Kontrát the EU's wrong migration policy focuses on the distribution of migrants instead of stopping illegal migration.
During the weekend 211 illegal border crossers were apprehended on the territory of Hungary, according to the police.
