Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó called it shocking that attacks are happening in Germany, a region of Europe which was thought to be safe.
The number one priority of the European politicians should be giving back security to the European people, Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Péter Szijjártó about the recent shooting in Munich. "The situation in Europe is not normal", he noted, adding that "we must protect ourselves from extremists and terrorists, we have to protect our borders". Mr Szijjártó emphasised that Hungary is supporting Germany in this "extremely difficult situation", offers condolences to the relatives of the victims and wishes a quick recovery to the injured.
