Hungary would like to prevent migrants, who don't qualify for asylum, “step on European soil”. According to official, that's why “more and more” countries have started to favour Hungary's Schengen 2.0 proposal.

As Zoltan Kovacs, government spokesman, said migration can't be sensed in these days from the first hand experience for the majority of the Hungarians. However, illegal migration is still very much a problem. “There is a strong difference between the European countries, some keep the joint border control rules and some don't. Today, that's the measure of solidarity”, he explained.

That's the exact reason why Hungary would like to convince EU member states to support Schengen 2.0, because, that's a way to prevent migration influx. According to Mr Kovacs, Hungary is quite successful as “more and more” countries has started to favour the proposal.
