National Economy Minister Mihály Varga opened the trading day at the London Stock Exchange on Thursday, after Hungary became the first country in the region to issue yuan-denominated bonds, which are trading on the London market.
The issuance of yuan bonds was a sign of trust but it also signals that Chinese-Hungarian relations are becoming ever more versatile and also stronger, Varga stressed.
Hungary has issued 1 billion worth of bonds in the Chinese currency through Bank of China, becoming the second remnibi denominated bond issuer on the London Stock Exchange,
