Only one third of the last year's amount in ragweed-infected area was measured by officials in Fejer county, Hungary.
The central Hungarian county followed a harsh clearing and cutting policy to eliminate the allergy-causing weed. Thanks to the campaign, only one third of last year's amount remained in the county.
Overall, constantly growing ragweed is a huge problem in Hungary.
