The prime minister's chief adviser warned of another influx of migrants coming through Romania.
More and more migrants are trying to cross the Romanian-Hungarian border, the prime minister's chief home affairs adviser, György Bakondi told the public news channel M1. According to Mr. Bakondi they are crossing the green border and are hiding in lorries or trains too. Romanian border authorities are effectively guarding the border and the cooperation is good with the Hungarians, he said, adding that the migrants are sent back to Romania. If necessary, the construction of a fence can begin at the border, but only after negotiating with Romania.
