Hungary announced to spend HUF 40 mln to develop wine making to make farmers able to produce better quality and moderner wines.

According to officials, energy efficiency is one of the main targets in producing better quality and moderner wines. On the other hand, wine export also must be increased. For example, the Austrian wine export is significantly than the Hungarian one.

Unfortunately, this year Hungary experienced some very serious weather conditions this year, starting with the devastating blow of ice and freezing weather during the late spring, and continuing with the early summer storms, and all might have significant effects on wine making. Farmers may ask for financial aid until and they have to forecast yield until 25 August.
