The number of tourist nights in Hungarian hotels increased by 5,6 percent, announced officials Thursday. An increased number of Hungarian tourists caused the increase.
The Hungarian hotels could register 45 percent of Hungarian tourists and 55 percent foreigners as guests in Q1 and Q2, which is “a very healthy figure”, says officials.
The majority of foreign tourists comes from Germany, the UK and Austria, but Hungary is a popular tourist destination among Slovaks, Czechs and Romanians.
