The European Union is a great need for cooperation with NATO, said Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto Friday following the meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Brussels.
“There has never been a greater need for cooperation between the European Union and NATO in view of the fact that European security is being severely impaired by the immigration crisis. Europe is experiencing the most serious crisis in its history, since what the immigration crisis means to Europe is a significantly increased terrorist threat and a significant reduction in public safety”, he said, adding that uncontrolled immigration has given opportunity to terrorists to sweep into Europe.
According to Mr Szijjarto, “immigration crisis poses a major security risk to Europe, which in turn represents a security risk for the whole Transatlantic community”. So cooperation between the EU and NATO is very much needed.
