The Hungarian goalkeeper Gabor Kiraly has confirmed his retirement from the national team after 18 years of service. The trouser-wearing hero made headlines during his paper-perfect Euro 2016 campaign.
The 40-year-old player has several national and international teams in his CV, including years at the Premiere League spending time at Crystal Palace, Fulham and West Ham.
He made ultimate headlines with his trademark grey jogging bottoms and paper-perfect saves at Euro 2016.
“I gave it my all but, in the meantime, my body signaled that this is the limit,” he said in his official statement. However, it's confirmed that he will continue playing at the Western Hungarian team, Szombathelyi Haladas.
