The EU must decide on new migration policy to prevent one million illegal migrants coming from Libya, said Gyorgy Bakondi Chief Security Advisor to the Prime Minister in a TV interview.
Mr Bakondi talked about two possibilities to manage migration crisis. One is “receiving everyone and distributing migrants based on mandatory quotas” among the EU member states. The other option is to follow the Hungarian and the V4 suggestion that contains protecting the EU borders, selecting people in need of political asylum and keeping economic migrants away.
“The threat of millions of migrants makes the decision on migration policy an urgent issue”, Mr. Bakondi added.
