Divers experience one hour traffic on the M1 motorway due to the Austrian border control.
The Austrian authorities make spot-checks on cars, buses and trucks, as well. So drivers have to wait approximately 60 minutes in a three km traffic jam to to cross the border at Hegyeshalom. Officials ask drivers to continue their way via Sopron and cross the border at Nickelsdorf.
The authorities aims that border control is necessary to control and filter human trafficking form Hungary to the Eastern Austrian regions.
