Despite some serious weather conditions, drifts caused less damage in wine making than last year.
Farmers asked for financial aid for altogether 44703 hectares, whereas last year, the announced amount was 51074 hectares. This year the most damaged counties were Jasz-NagyKun-Szolnok and Veszprem
Hungary experienced some very serious weather conditions this year, starting with the devastating blow of ice and freezing weather during the late spring, and continuing with the early summer storms. However, fortunately, wine making may still experience a good harvest.
