Almost 40,000 Hungarian citizens living abroad will receive their voting letters for referendum on the EU quota system at embassies, said officials.
A total of 254,000 citizens could vote by post because they don't have an address in Hungary.
The 40,000 of them, who get their letters at embassies, most likely live in a country that doesn't allow double citizenship. However, several people from Transylvania decided that way, as well.
Citizens have to take the envelope until 19 September and send back their vote until midnight 1 October.
