The Hungarian government decided to postpone the introduction of the administrative court system, the Prime Minister’s Office chief, Gergely Gulyas announced at a press conference.

„Whereas the government considers that the system accorded with European norms and the rule of law, the issue was the focus of an international debate over the independence of the judiciary,” Gulyas said, according to Hungarian news agency MTI. He added that „until these debates are concluded, enactment of the new system should be put on hold”.
