According to the governing Fidesz, building the temporary border control fence will cause a significant fall in illegal migration. The party believes the current amount of migration will drop-off to only 1/7 of the waves that Hungary is experiencing now.
He also added that several other examples around the world can be found for similar fences, for example, in the US or other EU countries, and all fences lead to one result. Migration fell to 1/7 after constructions had ended.
