EU leaders have decided that the routes of human trafficking must be closed, announced PM Viktor Orban after the Brussel summit of the EU leaders and Turkey Tuesday.
According to Mr Orban, the decision also means that order must also be restored at the borders, and it was a result of the Hungarian-Austrian-Slovenian-Croatian working alliance. “The text that the EU leaders approved in Brussels means that an era has come to an end, and from now on the migration routes leading through the Western Balkans are closed”, he said. The agreement aims the whole business of human trafficking and won’t let “migrants to march through the Balkans”, PM Orban added.
He also talked about that the summit failed to make an agreement with Turkey as the issues were too difficult to discuss during a single afternoon. So negotiations will continue next week.
