To ensure the further growth of the Hungarian economy, we must defend ourselves against the attacks coming from the European Union regarding the government’s employment creation programs and the tax system, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said at a conference organized by the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, to mark the beginning of business year.
Mr. Orban also said, that the workforce shortage problem must not be solved through guest worker programs, but with giving higher wages and creating better work environments to the local employees. „We have to do the work that is necessary to keep the country functioning by ourselves”, he said.
Hungary’s economy is expected this year and next to grow at a pace unseen in the past 13-14 years, by above 4 percent annually, Minister for National Economy Mihály Varga added.
