Tibor Benedek, head of the Hungarian national men's water polo team announced his resignation after the disappointing results at the Rio Olympics.
The head of the men's water polo team will not reapply for the position after his contract expires in December. Tibor Benedek has been leading the national team since 2013. As head coach he won a world championship in 2013, az European championship silver in 2014, a European championship bronze in 2016 but only came fifth at this year's Olympic Games.
