The Hungarian Prime Minister doesn't agree with any agreements that “pushes out” Hungary from the EU passport-free travel zone. Thursday Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia decided to establish a group called “Friends of Schengen” to contribute to the reinforcement of external Schengen borders.

“It's totally unacceptable to have any kind of agreements that would push out Hungary from the EU passport-free travel zone. We were the only one among the Schengen area countries that actually saved the passport-free area”, said Friday Viktor Orban.

Thursday the V4 countries agreed on a joint declaration saying such suggestions “are not answers to the reasons of the current crisis, but divert political attention”.

Mr Orban added the V4 countries call other Schengen area members to join the “Friends of Schengen” group.
