Negotiations are still ongoing to make V4 countries' contribution real in building the fence the Macedonian border. V4 might send border control forces to help, said Minister of Defense Istvan Simicsko Wednesday.
Mr Simicsko noted that there wasn't any actual agreement among the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia, but negotiations are still ongoing. “I hope we can discuss it next Thursday in Prague”, he added.
The Czech Minister of Defense Martin Stropnicky said that he say a probable scenario to send police forces to Macedonia. He stressed that Europe “needs to say out loud that Macedonia is not able to handle the protection of borders alone for a long time”.
