The Hungarian and the Tunisian foreign ministers emphasised the importance of cooperation between the North African country and the EU.
As Tunisia has the most stable political establishment, political system in its region, it's the EU's and Hungary's fundamental interest to keep this political and economic stability, Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade said after meeting his Tunisian counterpart in Budapest. Mr Szijjártó reminded that if Tunisia's stability had to face any significant challenge in the near future, the migration pressure on Europe would dramatically increase, so Hungary's is always urging the EU to cooperate with Tunisia.
Tunisian Foreign Minister Khemaeis Jhinaoui said that Tunisia and Hungary can cooperate in a number of issues and that they wish to use the experiences Hungary has gained during the last 26 years.
