Hungary wants tourism to remain balanced, anounced Minister for National Economy Mihaly Varga at a tourism event.
Mr Varga stressed that cooperation among the ministry, professional organizations and tourism companies has been successful as tourism data have repeatedly broken records since 2015.
“The number of guests, the volume of revenues at accommodation establishments and the total volume of revenues rose by 7.4 percent, 12.6 percent and 10.4 percent, respectively, last year. Favourable trends are in place also this year, as statistics show dynamic growth in the first half of 2016”, he said.
