Minister Zoltan Balog attended the inauguration of the Italian church restored with Hungary's help.
The Church of Sacro Cuore di Gesu (The Sacred Heart of Jesus) was inaugurated on Saturday in Tolentino, central Italy, after its restoration financed by Hungary following an earthquake last year, MTI reports.
The ceremony was attended by Zoltan Balog, Hungary's minister of human resources, who said the reopening of the church was "a moment of grace". He recalled that a year ago the town had asked Hungary to help restore the church. From Italy, priests, artists and scholars have been coming to Hungary for several centuries, he said. "This time, we came to Tolentino." Hungary provided 150 million forints (EUR 480,000) for the restoration of the church.
