The president of the parliament urges everyone to vote NO to mandatory quota.
The quotareferendum is a historic decision because it will determine the future of Hungary and Europe, president of the parliament, Laszló Kover said at an event in Jaszbereny. He urged everyone to vote NO to mandatory refugee quotas, and to help the government, to give them a stronger mandate to fight for Hungarian national interests in the EU. Mr Kover noted that the result of the referendum is not directly, legally binding for the European Commission, but there have been so far no examples of a European decision going directly against the clear will of the people.
