Brussels' quota package increases security risks, announced Hungarian officials at the Hungarian-Serbian border Wednesday.
“Of the dangers posed by the Brussels quota package, the security risks are by far the most serious”, State Secretary Csaba Domotor declared at his joint press conference with Minister of Defense Istvan Simicsko.
Mr Simicsko stressed that the Hungarian Defense Force and the police do everything possible to guarantee public safety. “Nobody can step onto Hungarian territory unmonitored”, he said, adding “we are doing everything possible, but we cannot claim that security is at one hundred percent”
According to Mr. Domotor, “we love this country and we cannot allow what happened in Brussels or Paris to also occur here. Hungarians have paid too high a price for security to now ignore the major risks.”
