The Hungarian Football Team will get EUR 11.5 Mln for playing in the last 16 at EURO 2016.
At first, they gathered EUR 8 Mln for qualifying. Then their win against Austria worth EUR 1 Mln and the two draw with Portugal and Iceland worth another million (EUR 500000 each). Plus, all team in the last 16 won another EUR 1.5 Mln.
The team had to say goodbye to the championship Sunday night when the Belgians won the thrilling match with 4-0.
EURO 2016 awards its teams with a higher amount of money than the last championship, paying EUR 301 Mln instead of EUR 196 Mln.
