The Minister Heading the PM's Office made several important announcements on his weekly press conference.
The Hungarian government decided about re-establishing immigration detention, which would mean that asylum seekers can't move freely in the Hungary while their application is being processed, Janos Lazar, the Minister Heading the PM's Office told a press conference. He explained this with the increased terror threat and security risks, adding that the migration pressure can get worse this year.
Mr Lazar also discussed the issue of Metro 4. He said that OLAF has finished its investigation of the construction project of the newest metro line and will recommend fining Hungary HUF 76.6 billion for breaking rules and regulations. The government will file a criminal complaint against unknown perpetrators, he said, adding that "former Socialist/liberal leaders of Budapest and multinational companies" could have committed crimes.
