Preventing the resettlement of migrants to Hungary by the constitution is not against Community law, says think tank head.
The amendment of the constitution proposed by Prime Minister Viktor Orbán in order to prevent the European Union from resettling foreign populations to Hungary is a complex legal text - explained the executive director of Nézőpont Institute to the public radio. According to Csaba Fodor the proposal is substantial enough to be able to make the quota impossible. It's also in line with our constitutional traditions and with the international practice which characterises the order of states, he continued. Csaba Fodor emphasised that the amendment is not against the Community law, but nevertheless, he expects political and legal debates.
