Hungary and Germany is on the same page regarding protecting the Schengen Area, announced Peter Szijjarto, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade after his talks with Wolfgang Schauble, Germany's Federal Minister of Finance in Berlin Monday.
Mr Szijjarto, however, also stated that immigration had serious economic hazards. “No common European answer to migration crisis led to a dangerous state of the Schengen Area”, he said, adding that without Schengen, the EU would lose at least 15-20 percent of economic efficiency.
Hungary and Germany agree on keeping Schengen in order, as well as the unity of the EU. “It's crucial to not to let spread totally the artificially kindled conflict between Western and Eastern Europe”, stated Szijjarto.
