Szeged may become an outstanding regional center with participating in Hungary’s currently running Modern Cities program, announced PM Viktor Orban and Major Laszlo Botka.
“Szeged has all the necessary capabilities to become an outstanding regional center”, said PM Orban. “The cooperation agreement concluded between Szeged and the Government includes, amongst others, the realization of the M47 highway, the development of the suburban railway system between Szeged and Mako, the development of Szeged Airport, a food industry plant construction project, industrial park development, the reconstruction of a city center bridge and the construction of a sports facility”, he added.
Hungary’s currently running Modern Cities program includes different innovation plans, including constructions and industrial development, and also smart city programs.
