Both fences on the border are providing suitable level of security against smugglers.
“The border management system is providing a suitable level of security against the reconnaissance methods and latest border crossing attempts of people smugglers”, the Chief Security Advisor to the Prime Minister said on Kossuth Radio’s program, as Kormány.hu reported.
In reply to a question concerning the fact that people smugglers are monitoring the movements of border guards on the Hungarian-Serbian border using drones so that they can guide migrants across stretches of the border that happen to be unguarded, György Bakondi said: “Both fences of the border management system use electronic monitoring equipment, including cameras, thermal imaging devices and the intelligent fence alarm system, to immediately sense if the fence is cut and alert border guards, who immediately rush to the scene”.
