Successful Reform in the Hungarian Economy

Minister Varga spoke at the conference of European audit authorities

The reform of the Hungarian economy in the recent years has been successful and we managed to create the proper basis for further construction, Economy Minister Mihály Varga said at an event.

The Hungarian Minister for National Economy, Mihály Varga explained at the 25th conference of the audit authorities of EU member states, the European Commission and the European Court of Auditors in Budapest, that ”the efficient and transparent absorption of EU development funds has been and continues to be instrumental in maintaining the growth momentum of the Hungarian economy seen in recent years”, Kormany.hu reported.

He added that the ”the performance-oriented, efficient and rewarding utilization of EU funds guarantees that favourable economic effects achieved hitherto will persist”.

Since 2013 the Hungarian economy's performance is growing each year by 3% and the same is expected this year, according to the minister.
