PM Viktor Orban greeted the Olympic and Paralympic athletes Friday in the House of Parliament.
The medal-winning athletes were also awarded decorations by PM Orban, President Janos Ader and Speaker Laszlo Kover.
“When you mount the winners’ podium, there is a great and boundless feeling which unites us like a bond”, Mr Orban said, adding that medallists have become models for the entire nation, and are “our heroes, from whom we can learn how to beat our opponents in sportsmanlike competition”.
