Severe storms caused lots of damage throughout Hungary. Till now, almost 23000 people claimed for insurance payments for damage valued for over HUF 1.5 million.
Most people, 14318 cases, asked insurance payments for damages caused by intense storms, thunder-showers and drifts. People claimed compensation for lighting caused damage in 8300 cases where secondary damages were presented in much higher percentage than the usual lightning damage.
Summers in Hungary are generally storm dangerous seasons, so according to insurance companies such number of claims aren't much higher than in any other year.
