The Hungarian Meteorological Service (OMSZ) alerted the whole country due to heavy snowfall and sleety rain throughout the country.
2017 has started with record breaking freeze in Hungary that now continues with heavy snowfalls causing closed roads in Nograd and Pest counties and blocked crossing points on the Hungarian-Slovakian borders.
OMSZ has issued a heavy snowfall warning for the whole country and warned Hungarians to prepare for more extreme weather conditions.
