Siemens will spend HUF 10 bn in its manufacturing center in Budapest over the next three years.
The company will also hire 150 highly qualified technical experts in addition to some 3000 workers in Hungary.
According to CEO Dale A. Martin, the Budapest plant is a key player of the company group’s international power generation sector. Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto added that manufacturing of new products will begin in 2018, and by then the plant will become one of Europe’s largest turbine blade manufacturers.
