According to KSH latest report, the volume of retail sales in were up by 5.8 percent year-on-year in August.
The rise was 2.8 percent in food shops and 6.1 percent in non-food shops. Automotive fuel retailing experienced the biggest increase with 7.5 percent.
KSH data also showed that in the first half of the year, the volume of sales was 4.9 percent higher than it had been in the same period of 2015.
