Hungary succeeded in breaking all previous foreign trade records in 2016, announced Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto Thursday.
“Last year, the Hungarian economy produced its highest ever level of exports and succeeded in achieving its highest ever foreign trade surplus”, Mr Szijjarto declared, adding that the Hungarian economy had never realized a foreign trade surplus of EUR 10 bln before. 71 major companies decided to invest in Hungary, representing a total of EUR 3.2 bln in working capital”, he said.
