The mayor of Budapest hopes that the reconstruction works of Metro 3 can finally begin next summer.
Istvan Tarlos, the mayor of Budapest told a press conference on Friday that the reconstruction of the Metro Line 3 can realistically begin in next June. The original plan was to begin the works this November, and according to Mr Tarlos if the offers for the reconstruction won't get "more realistic", further delays can come. He added that the reasons for the delays are clear and neither of them is the capital's fault. Mr Tarlos emphasized that the reconstruction works can't wait.
