Hungary will cut VAT radically in the food sector. 27 percent VAT will be reduced to five percent in the case of the most important food types.
VAT on milk, eggs and poultry will be only five percent form 2017, significantly less than the current 27 percent. According to officials, it will help increase elderly people's the standard of living as they eat and the most from the given food types. Other effects will include a grow in the value of pensions.
