PM Viktor Orban met Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko before the EPP conference in Brussels to discuss Hungarian-Ukrainian relations.

 According to PM Orban's office, they talked about the Subcarpathian development programs, that the Hungarian government partially finances, and Mr Orban asked President Poroshenko to speed up the programs.

Meanwhile, Spokesman of Mr Poroshenko, Sviatoslav Tseholko tweeted out that talks were about “the issue on retaining sanctions against the Russian Federation”.

The president is discussing with Hungary’s prime minister the issue on retaining sanctions against the Russian Federation,” Tseholko wrote.
