PM Viktor Orban sent a condolence letter to the German Chancellor Angela Merkel on the lorry attack in Berlin.
He expressed his shock and extended his condolences to the victims of the attack. “Yesterday, a heavy blow was dealt not only to the people of Berlin, but to the whole of Europe and to our common Christian values,” Mr Orban wrote. “I can assure you that my government condemns every form of terror and violence, and stands ready to cooperate with Germany in order to guarantee the safety of Europe and its citizens. My Hungarian compatriots and I share the pain of the victims’ family members, and we wish the injured a swift recovery,” he said.
