The Hungarian PM Viktor Orban and his Serbian counterpart, PM Aleksandar Vucic jointly opened a Hungarian factory in Subotica, Serbia.
Subotica is located in Serbia's northern province of Vojvodina where a significant ethnic Hungarian community lives. The Hungarian owned, new Masterplast factory will make further 205 free vacancies the region.
Mr Orban thanked Mr Vucic for welcoming such Hungarian investment. “This is a brave step towards securing prosperity for Serbia and Hungary and it is good for Europe as well,” he said. Mr Orban also talked about Serbia's future successful EU membership which is strongly supported by Hungary.
Mr Vucic talked about the importance of creating “many small and medium businesses” in which Hungary has been a partner. He also hoped for further investments to come.
